Intercomparison of Induced Fields in Japanese Male Model TARO Due to Magnetic Field Exposures

The present study provides an intercomparison of the in-situ electric field and current density in a Japanese adult male model named TARO for uniform magnetic field exposures. Total of six institutes has joined this intercomparison. Except for inhouse computational codes developed at institutes, computational conditions were set identical to focus on the discussion of computational uncertainty. Reasonable agreement was obtained between the in-situ electric fields/current densities calculated at different institutes (20%). This comparison suggests that computational uncertainty in induced current and electric field due to different method and coding is smaller than that caused by different model and electrical constants of tissues, which was reported in a previous study.
